We are working with Active Learning who run a comprehensive range of sports coaching courses for children currently in Yorkshire with plans for expansion nationally. They told us that often girls don’t know what to wear to their courses and many girls don’t like the traditional sports clothing offered by the big sporting brands. We are working with them to offer Kiss Katch as a pretty, practical alternative.
If you have a sporting background and are looking for an opportunity to set up a Sports Franchise of this type in your area or you would like details of the Active Learning programme of summer sports courses in the Leeds and Wakefield area, contact Will Ryder on 077760224254 or visit their website at www.wractivelearning.com

So, how many of you christened your BBQ for the first time last weekend? And did your family conform with the norm of letting the men do the cooking?? What is it about BBQs that suddenly makes our men territorial about cooking? If only they were so territorial for the rest of the year!
Well, the sun came out and so did my daughters little Kiss Katch dresses. Hopefully your little Kiss Katch fans had their little Kiss Katch outfits on. We would love to see your photos of your little ones in their Kiss Katch dresses, tracksuits, t shirts etc. Why not visit our Kiss Katch page on Facebook and post your pics on our wall. We’re giving away £20 for our favourite photo.
Anyway, here’s hoping that our men are cooking again this weekend!!

As the uncertainty over flights being cancelled continues and as the school holidays approach, will more British people take their holidays in this country rather than risk their flights out being cancelled or risk being stranded abroad? We could just do with the temperature thermostat being turned up a little if we are staying on our own soil this summer. There was frost on my car this morning, not something I expect to see in May. If it doesn’t start to warm up soon it will be goodbye beachwear in favour of snugly warm sweatshirts and hoodies. My daughters have desperately been trying to wear their beach dresses. They’ve been layering them up with t shirts and putting them on with their tights and boots in an attempt to prove to me that it’s not too cold for their favourite sun dresses. I just nod knowingly…………..

Just when I thought that the election had passed my children by, we were driving home from school and my youngest daughter asked me “what are all these posters by the side of the road for?” I started to try and explain that we were being asked to decide who we wanted to look after our country and that we would be asked to vote. I explained that the posters were to help us to decide who we should vote for. I thought it was really funny when she likened it to voting for Britain’s Got Talent or The X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing. Some would argue that the election campaign is exactly like this!

We are absolutely behind the campaign to ask retailers not to sell products which sexualise children. Our whole ethos is to provide a range of clothing that enables children to be children. Clothing should be designed first and foremost with play in mind. It should be easy to pull on and take off. When designing clothing for little girls, retailers should be considering making clothing button-less wherever possible and ensuring t shirts have wider necks. They should not be factoring in padding for bikini tops or high heels for shoes. They’ll be plenty of time for this when they are older!!

We are still hearing from friends that are still stuck abroad due to the ash clouds. Generally speaking most are enjoying a few extra days in the sun. Some have even been upgraded!
Monday and the first day back at school and I did wonder if the teachers had been caught up in the flight delays. Thankfully not for both me and the children! I think we were all ready for some daily routine again.
Well the sun’s shining and finally I think it’s safe to think about our spring wardrobes. I know just the place if you’re looking for summer dresses, tracksuits and t shirts!!

Well, we are in week 1 of the Easter holidays and we’ve already done lunch out, a trip to the cinema and 2 hours in a very hot soft play centre (you know, the place we all said we’d never take our children to before we actually had children!). How am I going to fill the rest of the two and half weeks that my children are off for?! If it would stop raining and warm up by about 10 degrees, I could send them out in the garden in their tracksuits for a couple of hours. As it stands, I think they are going to need hats, coats, scarves and gloves and they’ll probably be out for approximately 5 minutes!! Well, it’s 5 minutes filled I guess!
Hope you have a fab. Easter

Thanks for all of your emails asking about the collection and sorry for the delay.
The weather’s been so cold that I don’t think we’ve been ready to start thinking about our Spring and Summer wardrobe. However, we seem to have turned a corner. The frost seems to have gone away (well, for now anyway) and the sun’s even been shining, although it’s looking a bit murky here in Yorkshire today!
Anyway, take a look at our collection. As ever, it’s comfy, soft and easy to wear. Perfect for children to run round the garden in.
Enjoy!

For the first time in a long time this morning I didn’t need to de-ice my car before I went on the school run. I hope this is a sign that Spring is finally on the way. The children are starting to want to play outside again which is another sure sign that it’s getting warmer. This of course means that there’ll be plenty of muddy tracksuits and sweatshirts for me to deal with! Roll on Spring and the light nights and warmer weather!
